Graduate students
We welcome applicants with backgrounds in any related discipline - chemistry, ML/AI, physics, mathematics, etc. Applicants must contact Dr. Blaskovits by email by December of the year prior to admission, including a CV, unofficial transcript (converted to 4.0 GPA system) and motivation statement outlining previous research experience and areas in which contribution to the group is envisioned. Admission to the chemistry graduate program is made by the department and not by an individual supervisor. Please consult this page for admission guidelines and application deadlines. Graduate degrees in the chemistry department are fully funded. However, applicants are strongly encouraged to apply for independent research fellowships.
Undergraduate students
Applicants must contact Dr. Blaskovits by email, including a CV, unofficial transcript (converted to 4.0 GPA system) and motivation statement outlining any previous research experience and areas in which contribution to the group is envisioned. Domestic undergraduates doing summer research will be expected to apply for NSERC USRA funding or related. International students must propose in this email which funding/mobility scheme will be targeted. Internal students are encouraged to pursue credited research in the group through the Advanced Research Courses in Chemistry.
Postdoctoral fellows
We welcome applicants with PhDs in chemistry, ML/AI, physics, mathematics or a related discipline. Applicants must contact Dr. Blaskovits by email, including a CV with full publication list, motivation statement outlining PhD research experience, and a proposal of project ideas and funding scheme to be targeted. Candidates are strongly advised to consult the Canada Postdoctoral Research Award program and related programs for eligibility and deadlines. Applications not meeting these requirements will not be considered. Short-listed candidates will be invited for an online or in-person interview.
