Dr. Ismael Elayan

Biography
Dr. Elayan is a postdoctoral fellow in the Blaskovits Group. He received his BSc from the University of Jordan and his MSc from the University of Manitoba, where he worked on reaction mechanisms and electronic structure theory. He then completed his PhD with Prof. Alex Brown at the University of Alberta, studying light–matter interactions through two-photon absorption in various chromophores and fluorescent proteins. His current research focuses on automating the prediction of photophysical and electrochemical properties of transition-metal complexes.
