His research is at the intersection of machine learning and computational chemistry. He focuses on the data-driven design of novel molecules and materials for applications in energy, optics, and catalysis. He received a BSc from Université Laval (Québec City) as an inaugural Schulich Leader scholar and an MSc from the same institution as a Schmeelk Canada fellow, working under the supervision of Profs. Mario Leclerc and Paul Johnson. He was awarded an NSERC foreign study fellowship to conduct research for half a year in the group of Prof. Alán Aspuru-Guzik, then at Harvard (Cambridge, USA). He obtained his PhD at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (Lausanne) in the group of Prof. Clémence Corminboeuf, where he was awarded best PhD thesis in chemical science and engineering. He was most recently a postdoctoral fellow with Dr. Denis Andrienko at the Max Planck Institute for Polymer Research (Mainz, Germany).
